Thanks for stopping in and visiting our website. We have a small facility here in Queen Creek and I specialize in Arabians and half Arabians and sport horse types of all breeds. I am excited to be incorporating more dressage into my training of all styles of horses. Having started out many years ago in Alaska riding with a German Dressage instructor, it seems that I have come full circle by going back to what I learned so many years ago.
I recently sold my "Best Guy", Simon, or MA Sign of the Times to a wonderful rider, Tammi George. Simon now resides in Tracy Krajenke's barn ( www.equusdressage.com ) at Loma Vista in Rio Verde. Tracy has a wonderful reputation in the dressage world with both her amateurs and her ability to take "diamonds in the rough" and produce a polished product. I only got to "play" with Simon in the Sport Horse Venue in the Arab world, and he exhibited sooo much talent for dressage that he really needed the opportunity to go on. I will always miss him, but Tracy and Tammi will take him far! (by the way, Tami is a "sporthorse" specialist in the dressage and event world. She works for Markel Insurance and you can contact her at jeta@northlink.com ) Update! Simon is winning and posting excellent scores! Congrats to both Tracy and Tami!
My last project was Harvey Wallbanger! He's quite the character, and in fact probably needs his own page! Harvey has gotten to take several clinic lessons with Ashleigh Luca-Tyson of Sheffield Farms. She has trained extensively with Steffen Peters, so we feel quite honored! He's totally unflappable and so much fun to learn to ride on. He's part Belgian/mustang/morgan from off the reservation up on the rim. We were lucky enough to buy him from a wonderful young woman who allowed us to bring Harvey into our lives. She had owned him for almost all of his seven years. I know it was a hard decision for her...but we are grateful. UPDATE on Harvey...He is now owned by Debra Langdon and in training with Ashleigh Luca-Tyson at Round Mountain Ranch...a premier training facility in Scottsdale. ( www.roundmountainranch.com ) and now a plug for Debra who is just started a new project of clicker training....I am using it on my horses and "WOW" is all I can say! Her link is www.equineclicker.com and you should check it out!
My "new" project is a young horse named "Rapper". He is 100% saddlebred, but looks like a small warmblood. He is going to be a lot of fun to train and bring up through the ranks. Check out his page under Antonio Banderas! his official name.
I cliniced with Sandy Hotz in person this winter, and did some auditing with some other well respected clinicians. And lessons with Tracey Krajenke (who continually reminds me to "relax, enjoy"). Although the economy is tight, I have also signed up for Dressage.com and Jane Savoie's new site for as much information as I can garner at home...I've said it before that we are in such a wonderful age where we can access so much through different kinds of media right at our own home.
Please look around the site, enjoy my photos, and if you would like to visit and talk horses, call me. I'm always ready to put the coffee pot on.
