WERMONT....what can I say about him except we are glad we got him! Although he isn't a rescue in the true sense, (He had owners who fed, and cared for him) we feel we found him for a reason and that would be to NOT discount old horses! He is nineteen years old. SOUND. Trained to race. Papered arabian. Pure Polish. And he fell through the cracks....Never formally trained, he is incredibly intelligent, quick study, and has none of the "issues" young horses have...We have trail ridden in the San Tans and through the neighborhood. He loves it. He's learned to long line and in just a few sessions under saddle, is relaxing his back, accepting contact and leg yielding to beat the band...Found on CraigsList...go figure. We thank the kind souls who sold him to us and appreciate them letting him expand his life.
